Frequently asked questions
How long will a shoot last?
A shoot will last approximately one-and-a-half to two hours, but if we are photographing young children we are happy to work around their schedule
How many photos will be taken?
There is no limit to how many photos we take. It all depends on options available to us on the shoot, but usually we will have edited the number of images to between 25 and 50 for you to choose from.
What should we wear for a shoot?
It is really up to you, but it is worth considering that you will hopefully be looking at these images on your wall at home for quite a while, so think of something you will feel happy with in the pictures. You could always bring a change of clothing to add to the variety of images.
Is it a good idea to bring props?
Yes, props can be a great way of bringing out someone's personality in pictures, especially with children: possibly a favourite toy, football, or hat, for example.
What happens if the weather isn't great on the day of the shoot?
If it is raining and the ground is very wet then we will rearrange the shoot for another convenient time with you. Overcast skies and sun are the best lighting conditions to work in.
Do you shoot in black-and-white and colour?
We shoot everything in colour on the very best digital cameras and any images you want in black-and-white, we can change for you in the editing process.
How do we get to see the photographs?
After about one week we will arrange a convenient appointment for you to come and view your images on our large screen. This should make it easier to select your favourite pictures for framing. Other family members are also welcome to attend the viewing, or if this isn't convenient we can arrange a different viewing time for them. We can also put the images on our website with a password to protect them.
